Sourcetone Interactive Radio Help

Emotion Wheel

The Emotion Wheel is the gateway between you, the listener, and Sourcetone Interactive Radio. At any time, you can click on any emotion in the wheel to initiate a new stream of music within that emotional space. For instance, if you want to hear calm music, click on the word calm in the Emotion Wheel and calm music will start to play. If you’d like to hear happy music, click on the word happy in the Emotion Wheel and happy music will start to play. You’ll notice that there are a number of emotions inside the wheel that are only apparent as you scroll over them.

The Bypass Wheel button will allow tracks of random emotions to be played. Remember, if you want to take advantage of the truly personalized service that is Sourcetone Interactive Radio, use the Emotion Wheel as much as you can.

Progress Bar

The progress bar lets you know how far into the currently playing track you are, and how much is left to go.

Stars

To the right side of the player, you can tell us how much you like or dislike the track you’re listening to. Our 5 star rating function lets you rate any track from 1 to 5 stars. The more stars are rated for a track, the more often you’ll hear that track in the future. We also use this function to recommend tracks that are similar to those you like.

Add to Favorites Buttons

Adding a song, album or artist to your favorites using these buttons will put your selection into a more heavy rotation so you will hear it more frequently. You can manage your favorites on your preferences page.

Add to Bans Buttons

Banning ensures that the track, album or artist you ban by clicking these buttons will never play again. You can manage your bans on your preferences page.

If you haven’t heard music that you would like to hear and want to make a request for a certain track, album, or artist, just click on the Request Music button. A new window will appear where you can fill in the information on the music you’d like to hear. Sourcetone Interactive Radio adds new music to its library every day. The requests that you make will give us a better idea of what our audience wants to listen to.

Vendor Buttons

The 3 icons at the bottom of the music player give you the option to purchase any track you hear from any one of our 4 partner vendors. For your convenience, we give you the option to purchase tracks from Amazon, iTunes, or Emusic. As you’re listening to Sourcetone Interactive Radio, if you hear a track you’d like to purchase, simply click on any of the available vendor links. This will take you to the page on the partner site where you can make your purchase. If a vendor link is grayed out, the song you requested is not available at that vendor.
